I'm continually astounded at how technology is fundamentally changing how we interact with the world (and, I work in technology, so assumed it would become more normal by now).
In 2005, this clip, Me at the Zoo, was published (19 seconds). Pretty uneventful, right? Unlikely to start any type of popular movement, except maybe turning off your computer.
In just 8 years, YouTube has come from that to 1B unique viewers & 6B hours of video watched per month.
Eric Schmidt has even *boldly* public stated that YouTube has already taken over TV.
Goodbye boob tube. Hello internet.
PS - Interested in more? Check out Me @ The Zoo (I saw it at Sundance in 2012)
