At my Objectif's photography class last night, we studied Annie Leibovitz, a famous photographer. My teacher said Annie has the uncanny ability to befriend anyone, making them feel instantly comfortable -- that's the secret to being a good portraitist.
While flipping through her coffee table book, Women, I could see the time and effort that went into each photograph -- the distinctive moment -- the perfect environment.
I came home from class, eager to learn more about her work. She was the Head Photographer for Rolling Stones. But, even more interesting -- Annie captured the beginning and end of a modern day legend: John Lennon
She shot the first cover with John Lennon:

Powerful stuff.
